The UK Government has been consulting on a potential ban of social media for under-16 year olds, examining how these platforms affect children’s wellbeing and their relationship with their phones. You can find details of the Government's survey here which closed on 26 May:
https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/growing-up-in-the-online-world-a-national-consultation
To coincide with the Government's consultation, I launched my own survey to
hear directly from local residents about their views on this issue. Your voice matters, and it will help shape a sensible, balanced approach that protects children while allowing them to enjoy the benefits of technology safely.
You can access the full report that came from the survey below.
The findings of this report will be sent to the Secretary of State for Science and Technology to feed into the wider Government consultation.
Thank you again to everyone that took part!
